about us
We are Prince Edward Community Theatre, an award-winning Non Profit organization founded in June of 2008, dedicated to providing live community theatre at an affordable price in Prince Edward County. Now beginning our 17th Season, we are building on our initial success in 2008/09, expanding our Season Ticket holder base, and enlarging our profile in the community. All box office receipts and Sponsorship donations are dedicated to meeting production costs for each show. Persons interested in our theatre, regardless of background or experience, are heartily invited to contact us by email. We are continuously seeking performance and production crew personnel to participate in mounting the next show.
Our Founder
Born and raised in Picton, Lynn Fennell has performed in musical and dramatic theatre throughout the area since the late 1980’s, beginning with roles in Belleville’s Dance Den productions along with his daughters, Emily and Hilary. He has been cast in many productions through this area, such as ‘Guys and Dolls’ (1988), ‘Slueth’ (1998), ‘Camelot’ (2002), ‘Talley’s Folly’ (2003), ‘I Hate Hamlet’ (2006), among many others. He will also be performing the role as Willy Loman in Domino Theatre’s production of Death of a Salesman (2017).
Award Winning Theatre
Recognized for our award winning community theatre, P.E.C.T. competes yearly in festivals learning from industry professionals to bring the best possible little theatre to Prince Edward County. The group has brought home many accolades for their acting, directing, set design, costumes and technical production.
creative and passionate
Our volunteers are members from the community who have a mutual love and passion for the arts. Their dedication and hard work keep our theatre alive and well. Some of our volunteers have worked in theatre before and others are new to the art. We invite anyone who would like to participate to contact us. No previous experience necessary, just a willingness to learn and have fun!
