Prince Edward Community Theatre is a not-for-profit County Theatre company, whose membership is open to any person interested in its objectives, which are: To provide high-quality entertainment to the community in a theatrical venue, showcase local talent, express artistic and civic ideals in our community, and to sponsor and promote educational opportunities that create a greater knowledge of theatre arts. By producing a broad range of theatrical presentations of the highest possible quality, and providing hands-on learning experiences in all aspects of theatre production and management for both youth and adults we encourage and facilitate community participation in every phase of live theatre. We will continue to strengthen our leadership role in the arts community of Prince Edward County, and enhance our regional and provincial reputations.
We provide a broad range of high-quality theatrical entertainment, providing an outlet for creative community involvement, which engages, inspires, and challenges audiences with theatrical productions that range from the classics to new works. We seek to achieve the highest professional quality in a supportive working environment, and expect excellence from the actors, staff and volunteers with whom we work. We believe in offering productions that are inclusive, that reflect the diversity of The County, and also have meaningful impact on our community. Community Theatre stimulates us, celebrates the commitment and achievement of its volunteers, staff and actors, and enhances the understanding of others and ourselves through the shared experience of live theatre. Community Theatre is recognized as a significant cultural asset by the local community.
A Great Community Deserves Great Theatre.
To continue to produce high quality theatre that is challenging, stimulating, educating and entertaining to the community, Prince Edward Community Theatre relies on the energy and talent of its volunteers and the support and participation of its patrons and sponsors. Sponsorship enables us to provide value for our many valued supporters and the community at large. It enables community access to the resources of the theatre and recognizes the basic importance of a lively arts community in The County as an economic stimulator for the community.
